1. Who we are
ScreenCraft is a screenshot capture and editing extension published by SoftMe. This policy explains how we handle data related to extension use, purchases, licenses and support.
2. Screenshots
Images captured and edited by ScreenCraft are processed locally in the user browser. The extension does not automatically send screenshots to SoftMe servers or third parties. The user decides when to copy, export, download or share an image generated by the extension.
3. Locally stored data
The extension may store locally in the browser interface preferences, license status, a local device identifier and local screenshot history when the feature is enabled. These data can be removed by clearing extension data or uninstalling the extension.
4. Purchase and license activation
When purchasing or activating Pro features, SoftMe may process data such as purchase email, license key, device identifier, extension version and activation status. These data are used to validate the license, prevent misuse, unlock purchased features and provide support.
5. Payments
Payments may be processed by external providers such as Mercado Pago and Stripe. SoftMe does not store full credit card data. Payment providers handle that information according to their own policies and security requirements.
6. Support
When the user requests support, we may receive voluntarily submitted information such as name, email, product, problem description, screenshots and technical data needed for diagnosis.
7. Data sharing
SoftMe does not sell users personal data. Data may be shared only when necessary for payment processing, legal compliance, fraud prevention, technical support or secure operation of the service.
8. Security
We adopt reasonable measures to protect data related to licenses, purchases and support. Still, no system is completely risk-free, and we recommend keeping the browser and operating system updated.
9. Retention and deletion
Purchase and license data may be retained as long as necessary for proof of purchase, support, legal obligations and fraud prevention. Users may request review or deletion through the support channel.
