1. Who we are
PDF Editor Pro is a PDF editing and organization extension published by SoftMe. This policy explains how we handle data related to extension use, purchase, license and support.
2. PDF documents
PDFs opened and edited with PDF Editor Pro are processed locally in the user browser. The extension does not automatically send documents to SoftMe or third-party servers. The user decides when to download, export, copy or share a generated file.
3. Locally stored data
The extension may store interface preferences, license status, a local device identifier and temporary data needed for editing. These data remain in the browser environment and can be removed by clearing extension data or uninstalling it.
4. Purchase and license activation
When purchasing or activating Pro features, SoftMe may process data such as purchase email, license key, device identifier, extension version and activation status. These data are used to validate the license, prevent misuse, unlock purchased features and provide support.
5. Payments
Payments may be processed by external providers such as Mercado Pago and Stripe. SoftMe does not store full credit card data. Payment providers handle this information under their own policies and security requirements.
6. Support
When the user requests support, we may receive voluntarily submitted information such as name, email, product, problem description, screenshots and technical data needed for diagnosis.
7. Data sharing
SoftMe does not sell users personal data. Data may be shared only when necessary for payment processing, legal compliance, fraud prevention, technical support or safe service operation.
8. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect data related to license, purchase and support. However, no system is completely risk-free, and users should keep browser and operating system updated.
9. Retention and deletion
Purchase and license data may be kept as long as necessary for proof, support, legal obligations and fraud prevention. Users may request review or removal through the support channel.
